It’s like a training conference 24-7

There are two things I know about blogging:
1. There is a blogging elite out there.
2. I am not part of it.

However, I am thankful for it. The longer I’m in vocational ministry the more I realize how clueless I really am. What I love is there are so many guys who are out there doing ministry in the trenches and doing it well that I can learn from. It’s why I love the blogosphere. I feel like I’m attending a digital cyberconference that is free and on my terms. I get to hear from guys like Perry Noble and Mark Batterson daily as if they’re sending me an email with some rich and transformational nuggets on the joys and pains of ministry.

This is something that no other generation has has the opportunity to experience. 20 years ago you’d have to fly across the country or subscribe to a magazine to hear from guys like Bill Hybles and Rick Warren. Now, inspiration and encouragement from fellow ministers in the trenches is swirling about in an around the clock cyber conference. At this conference I get to read amazing worship confessionals from guys like Carlos Wittaker and Pete Kim –Worships leads who are making a difference. Then I can make my way down the cyber-hallway to digital breakout sessions overflowing about everything from small group ideas from Ben Armet, to mission trip testimonials from Mark Batterson, to leadership challenges from Perry Noble.

And it doesn’t stop there. Through the blogosphere I can connect and re-connect with friends, pastors, and others who are out there in the trenches just like me. And the best part is…It doesn’t close. The conference is always open. And it doesn’t matter where you are. Thank you to everyone out there who is doing their part to contribute to the inspiration, development, and encouragement to ministry leads all over the world. I am truly thankful for the rich information that I’m exposed to daily.
